Sir Alfredo Acierto, KGOR

Alfredo P. Acierto, 104, of Chicago, died in his sleep on Feb. 29, 2008. Sir Afredo Acierto, KGOR was the oldest brother knight ever to be awarded the Fourth Degree, Knight Grand Officer of Rizal (KGOR) by the Supreme Council through the Central USA Council. He is the beloved husband of Maria; loving father of Mary Ridley (Greg Lundberg), Alex (Sylvia) and Bob (Eileen) Acierto; grandfather of Emily (David) Foreit, Elisa, Mireya, Alejandro, Kristen and Natalie; great-grandfather of Benjamin, Joshua, Sam and Kate; brother of Magdalena and Eustaquia, and the late Juan, Alicia and Onesto. Visitation Friday, 4 to 9 p.m. at Drake & Son Funeral Home, 5303 N. Western Avenue, Chicago, where services will be held Saturday, 10 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Knights of Rizal-Chicago Chapter, for the Rizal Memorial Bust, 1332 W.
